Southern California-based Certi-Fresh was originally established in 1979. In 1998, Certi-Fresh began selling its diverse array of value-added shrimp products to restaurant chains throughout the United States.
In January 2001, Certi-Fresh acquired Golden Bounty Foods, enabling it to expand into the breaded seafood, vegetables, jalapeno poppers and mozzarella categories. Today, Certi-Fresh’s Gourmet Breaded products account for more than 15 percent of the Company’s sales.
In May 2002, Certi-Fresh established a fresh fish division aimed at selling the highest quality seafood products to high-end grocery chains.
Certi-Fresh employs more than 160 individuals at its headquarters in Bell Gardens, California. The Company’s incomparable quality control standards are well-documented. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has utilized Certi-Fresh facilities on multiple occasions to train its FDA quality control employees. The Company also maintains a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) program at its facility.
Today, Certi-Fresh is the resource of choice for a multitude of restaurants, high-end grocery chains and foodservice distributors. That’s due, in part, to the Certi-Fresh business philosophy that emphasizes partnering with its customers. Certi-Fresh approaches all of its clients as long-term relationships, and is committed to fulfilling every customer’s expectations. To that end, the Company’s highly trained staff has more than 100 years of combined seafood industry and restaurant experience, enabling it to create profitable seafood solutions that add versatility, value and appeal to any menu.
Exceptional product. Stringent quality standards. Incomparable customer service. That’s the Certi-Fresh Foods guarantee.
